What is Team Rewind 4419?
Team Rewind 4419 is High Tech High North County’s First Robotics Competition (FRC) team. HTHNC hosted an FRC team prior to 2020, but in 2020 HTHNC Parents, Students, and the teacher champion created a HTHNC team, Team Rewind.
Our 2023 Season was our most successful season yet! We made it to the World Championships in Houston and tied for 9th in the world! Last year we just missed making the finals at AVR as a leader in our alliance.

First Year
What is FIRST?
FIRST Stands for For Inspiration and Recognition of Science & Technology
From FIRST Website:
“Through a progression of team-based robotics challenges and backed by a global network of mentors, coaches, volunteers, alumni, and sponsors, FIRST helps young people discover a passion for STEM and develop the skills they'll need to succeed in today's competitive workforce.”
There are 3 different levels to First:
- First Lego League (FLL)
- First Tech Challenge (FTC)
- First Robotics Competition (FRC)
Team Rewind is an FRC team.
What is FRC?
From First Robotics:
Under strict rules and limited time and resources, teams of high school students are challenged to build industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game in alliance with other teams, while also fundraising to meet their goals, designing a team “brand,” and advancing respect and appreciation for STEM within the local community.

Travel Team
-
It is our philosophy as an FRC team and a High Tech High North County Program to be accessible to everyone and be completely inclusive.
-
For that reason, anyone can be on the Robotics Team and come with us to local competitions.
-
In addition to these local competitions, we should have at least one travel competition in the offseason and one during the season.
-
To come on these trips as a member of the Travel team students will be required to meet some minimum requirements
-
These requirements will have a meeting attendance component and a fundraiser attendance requirement.
-
We will be crafting these as a team over the next couple of weeks
